For teams accustomed to working in tools like Google Docs or Microsoft Word, the experience is designed to feel approachable while remaining governed inside the TMS.

Dynamic content is handled through a searchable field picker. Users can search for approved fields by name or category, then insert them into the document as needed. This makes it easier to add load, order, carrier, customer, or financial information without relying on custom-coded template changes.

The Document Editor also supports image management, allowing users to upload and manage approved assets such as logos or other document graphics. That matters for organizations with multiple brands, acquired divisions, or customer-facing document standards that need to remain consistent.

Before anything goes live, users can preview changes using real or sample shipment data. That preview step helps teams confirm that the template looks right, the dynamic fields populate correctly, and the document is ready for use.

The Document Editor is permission-based, so organizations can control who can view templates and who can edit them. Templates open in preview mode by default, helping users explore safely before making changes. Unsaved-change warnings help prevent accidental loss of work.

When a template is published, MasterMind performs automated checks before the template becomes active. These checks help validate document structure, confirm that dynamic fields are properly referenced, and protect document integrity.

The feature also includes auditability. Template changes can be tracked by user, timestamp, template, document type, and change details.
